If your website isn’t mobile friendly by now, chances are you are losing a substantial amount of customers as I type this. Statistics show in 2011 there was an estimated 5 billion phones in the world, 1 billion of which were smart phones. 84% of those 1 billion smart phones were used to browse the web, that’s 840,000,000 phones browsing the web. Now which website are you more likely to stay on, one that is mobile friendly or one that isn’t? (That’s a rhetorical question by the way).

Responsive Web Design is a web design approach aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of re-sizing  panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones).

To test is a website is responsive simply visit it on your computer, and click the restore down button at the top right of your browser window (to the left of the red close button) and drag the browser window from right to left.
